Extension Report-Brooke Edmunds
We went through the survey results from the Graduation & Award Event Planning Survey. There were 92 respondents.
New trainings changes:
In house class is still in tangent. 2020 class will be March through April, then they split into garden labs that are hands on and go into the growing season.
The 2nd change is from the state level. We are adopting the national training level so there are 45 hours of training instead of 66 total. The breakdown is not set yet.
Brooke needs help in collecting paperwork. A list was passed around with the people who have not finish their paperwork. Members were to help contact those people. This OSU paperwork has to be done every single year.
There was a survey done regarding how Extension can help people in the Albany area better since we are out in tangent in the office now. A couple of key points were 1) more plant clinics and clinics that rotate to different locations around the area, like various garden centers and then rotate, 2) collaborate with partners, 3) plant clinic boxes that they are in good shape , 4) coming up with different ideas for master gardener classes, like are interactive garden with kids, etc. Everything relies on resources so they may or may not work out.
