Expenses for the month $7,917.00

Extension Report-Brooke Edmunds, Elizabeth Records
Elizabeth was at BeEvent and she thought it was amazing and heard nothing but glowing reviews. OMGA has a Search for Excellence Award and she suggested that the BeEvent be submitted. The application has to be submitted by May 15th to be considered.
She said thanks to this year's master gardener mentors. Some people had problems getting the information from Elizabeth so she is resending it.
March 21st is the last day of training. The last day Potluck is from noon to 1 and all Master Gardeners are invited. The committee fair is right after lunch that day. She needs to hear from each of the committees by the 18th so she can make the passport for that day at the project fair. Ranee would also like a final project list to hand out so the trainees will know who is the contact for what projects.
Elizabeth is having the directory reviewed and then it will be send to the printers. She is thinking she may have Master Gardeners come to the Linn Extension Office to pick up their copy of the directory. If they don't get to the office then she will mail the packets that are left.
Some people have been trying to get Bee gear at the extension office. Ranee will coordinate sales at the extension office or she can bring the items to the office and people can buy the items from there. The office can't take debit cards however. Elizabeth will add those buyers to the bee notes list that is sent out.
Lebanon senior center has a program and needs a master gardener for a resource person. There are new raised beds and the Master Gardener will will meet with Samaritan Health as they are organizing planting those raised beds.
If there are Master Gardener events that Elizabeth is not aware of, please let her know so she can add it to the series of advertising for our events.
Master Gardeners work with POP at the Albany Farmer's Market once a month with an educational table. She is coordinating some kind of activity as a 2nd date with POP and needed input. July 20th and August 10th seemed to work best. If you are interested in helping with that project, contact Pam.
Demo Garden-Dave Krieger
They are beginning working on signs and weeding on Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1 to 3 if anyone would like to join them.
The walkway is finished. Larry Steele did a lot of it. Thank you Larry.
Meetings at Library-Randy Peckham
There is a new flyer for the noontime talks at the library.
It is unclear what is happening with the ownership and meetings at Toms garden center. We will still be meeting there until May; then we will have a field trip or two in the summer.
Randy will move membership meetings to the Albany library on the 3rd Thursday night of the month starting in October. Membership meetings are from 6:00 to 8:00pm and are for everyone. Classes count as educational hours.
OMGA Report-Janice Gregg
Janice has notes from the speaker if anyone is interested. The speaker was from Jackson County, speaking on cultural agility in the master gardener program.
The next meeting is in Jackson county June 7th on fire wise landscapes.
September's OMGA meeting is here at the Linn County extension office. It is Saturday, September 7th. LCMG's will pay $300 for the food as the host. The topic will be a treasurers workshop.
November 2nd meeting is in Tillamook county.
She shared findings from a survey that was sent out by the OMGA.
Garden Tour-Betty Goergen
They have all their gardens and are set to go. She will call a meeting in March for the Garden Tour committee. There are left over cookies in the freezer from the BeEvent to use for the garden tour.
BeEvent Roundup-Pollinator Conference-Susan Morton
March 7th is next year's Bee Event. They have already reserved the expo center.
They got great feedback on all of the speakers and the evaluations were glowing. The vendors did very well also. 39 volunteers helped. It was a huge success.
Betty Goergen talked more about the phone tree. She wants to organize it so that it is available for various events. She will start working on it.
Pam Nelson, 1st vice president is going to do reminders of dues that have not been paid yet.
Betty is looking into another social event for Linn County Master Gardeners to get together. She will look into something to plan after the garden tour.
