Headed to the Linn County Fair?  Come by our Demonstration Garden to see our pollinator habitat, vegetable and herb beds, our native and sensory garden areas - all accessible via new garden paths.

We‘ll show gardening tips on all aspects of gardening from seed starting, growing and harvesting herbs for cooking and making tea, adaptive gardening to accommodate physical disabilities, water testing, how to plan a frost to frost pollinator support garden, seasonal gardening activities, how to create your own therapeutic garden and more.  We typically have a variety of hard to find native plants or seeds.

This is a hands-on gardening demonstration event.  There will be multiple summer gardening topics â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

  • How to create a therapeutic garden

  • Learn how to adapt your garden with accessible raised beds & tools to accommodate physical challenges

  • Seed Starting

  • Herbs for Culinary Use & Teas

  • Fall in the Garden

  • Native Plants for Fall Planting

  • Water Testing - bring a water sample for on-site testing

  • Frost to Frost Pollinator Gardens - all season blooms

Admission to the Demonstration Gardens is free with the purchase of your Linn County Fair Ticket.
